Here's Some Photos In Case You Couldn't Make It

Well happy to have been able to see so many kind faces this past weekend. It's been a busy productive time and it felt good to have such a supportive turnout. When I had the time I took a few snaps and want to share them with you here.
As always my biggest thanks to Baby Joe (seen here prepping) who helps with all the details, math, set up. Also couldn't have done it with out me sweet Jimmy Jim Jimmers. (hiding in the house)
Mette shown here in the hat. We all missed Sister Sissel, but she's taking care of grand twins!- so there couldn't be a better excuse.

 P. Lyn enjoyed herself and as usual had some beautiful platters.

I snuck out Sunday morning for a too short visit over at Dianne's, I wish I could have spent more time, It's inspiring to see her artwork studio and yard.

Thanks to you all, and we hope to see you next time!

Some New Paintings

So here are some of the new paintings I have been working on.  I have my Spring Open Studio coming up May 4th and 5th then right after that Jim and I leave for vacation (Yeah!). As soon as I return I need to ship all the work for a solo show at Blumfield Gallery in Boise Idaho. Having never been there I asked how many pieces she thought she may need and she suggested around 16. That is a lot for me and of course I want everything to be the newest greatest etc. etc. - Nothing like putting pressure on oneself.  Anyhow it's probably not possible that they all be new, but I'm shooting for at least 12 or so.

Mostly Ready for the Open Studio this Weekend

Hello friends, I'm taking a break from photographing all the latest stuff and thought I'd post a few. And remind everyone of this weekends Open Studio here at the house. I've got some new paintings small and large, some new 'recession busters' (the very small unframed paintings on scrap hardwood from Jim's shop) and some new jewelry too.

This little fella was the last painting I did. It always seems I get into a flow where I start to really like things then it's time to stop. Otherwise the paint won't have enough time to dry.
My love of tree and little doggies......... (this one is also a small recession buster)
This one is a bit bigger (15"x15") I think. I like the eyes and the flow of the circle-y shapes.
This is the largest of the bunch. Quite long, with a gold leaf sky.

Photos from Open Studio Event.

Well finally some photos for the blog here from the Open Studio a few weeks ago. (Is that all? Seems like ages)
Anyhow I want to give a huge bundle of thanks and gratitude to everyone who helped (Julie and Joe and Jimmy) and of course my fabulous fellow artists Teal Rowe, P. Lyn Middleton and Dianne Bennett. I only wish I had a chance to get over to Dianne and Chris's house to visit and see her exhibit but there's never really time to run away from your own event to visit each others'.
I have been enjoying a bit of time off and then it's back to something every weekend for a while. Jim and I just hosted a grey water workshop here in the backyard. I will try to post a few photos of that soon but thought I'd better get these up for now. - Also thanks again to all my kind visitors, supporters and friends. This year's open house was a great success!

This year my epiphyllum was in full bloom to greet visitors.
And Lotte was happy when she finally got to come out of the coop.

A little more than a week away folks. We'd love to see you there!
